As part of the newly created Markets Intelligence Team [MI], supporting the $1.2+T ETF business in reporting & analytics, data infrastructure/quality and sales enablement as well as ambitions to support the wider Businesses beyond listed products. Role Description
As Head of Analytics & Strategic Insights, you are responsible for working closely with key stakeholders across the Business team and Client Coverage groups to review the data and seek to explore looking for trends and patterns that may drive insights across the US, EMEA and APAC markets. Working in partnership with Data Intelligence, Research, Strategists and Capital Markets, you will draw on numerous data to develop insights and to support business decisions - with a focus on ETFs in the first instance. This is an outcome orientated role with the opportunity to drive significant impact and growth across our business, develop tools to support reporting, developing insights, highlighting areas of focus across the business. As a leader within our Markets Intelligence & Strategic Insights team, there will be strong senior connectivity across the business, so the ability to communicate and present at all levels is essential.
• Lead the team that will look at the data and put together the right course of action we should explore taking across the business. Working closely with the right stakeholder teams and colleagues across the Business and Markets Intelligence.
• Will develop a clear framework for measuring success of actions and continuing to assess the progress being made from actions or decisions taken from the data driven approach.
• Will seek to deliver new reporting tools and insights across distribution, marketing, and strategist teams leveraging tools such as Tableau or Power BI. These should allow for greater action as a result of the analytics.
• Build a strong partnership to collaborate for success with Data intelligence team and provide feedback and input into developing the right tools for future reporting and insights
• Participates in the assessment and analysis of sales tools/vendors and drives the execution, implementation and/or change management for new and/or existing sales tools
• Proactively looks for areas of improvement across our range and where we are gaining or declining in market share, and highlights trends, patterns or themes from the data.
Qualifications
• Ability to work with large and disparate data sets and spot patterns and themes to draw out insights.
• Some experience in industry is helpful, but not a pre-requisite if candidate can illustrate ability to derive insights and actions from working with data and collaborating across different groups.
• Data science & programming skills such as working with BQL or Python will be advantageous
• Experience with tools such as Bloomberg, Tableau, Power BI and Alteryx are advantageous
• Ability to learn or experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com are helpful
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to excel in a dynamic environment by adhering to tight deadlines, the ability to prioritize and deliver on projects
• Ability to take the initiative and demonstrate flexibility to think creatively to solve problems
• An understanding of the ETF business would be advantageous, otherwise should have the desire to develop an understanding of the global ETF landscape and SSGA's business lines across Cash and Retirement
• Effective working in a highly collaborative and team-based environment

Salary Range:
$135,000 - $210,000 Annual
